Fake Versus The True Conventional Integrative Medicine...
While some Alternative organizations nowadays, are loosely using the word "Integrative Medicine" to simply join the current bandwagon, but used it as a vehicle to propagate their own brand of Alternative healing system. They have gone, even further by offering them as the core emphasis of their ND curriculum in the Naturopathic schools they operate. IBMS-International Medical School of Integrative Medicine has strongly embraced the concept of Evidenced-Based Medicine (EBM) and committed to uphold the latest therapeutic protocol, and "Gold standard of treatment" for Disease-Management, in the administration of Natural and Conventional therapeutics.
The true Integrative Medicine, also called 'Conventional IM' is the integration or combination of the scientific methods of Conventional Western Medicine with Modern Naturopathic Medicine and other Alternative Healing methods (CAM). It is an integrative approach to Health Care that takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle.
In this Medical system, the IM Physician's approach to patient care, initially uses a combination of Non-Prescription Drugs with Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine and other Evidence-Based Alternative therapies, with the end goal of eliminating or reducing the use of drugs at some later time (not at first Clinic visit) in the course of the therapy, as the case may be depending on patient's particular condition .
Similar to Allopathic training, Postgraduate Students enrolled in Conventional Integrative Naturopathic Program, learn the Medical practice of History Taking, Physical Examination and Clinical Assessment; similarly they also develops and Hone their skills in Differential Diagnosis; On the other hand, while they also study clinical Naturopathic Assessment and Diagnostic techniques, alongside they also master modern Laboratory tests and sophisticated diagnostic imaging tools and correlating these results with the patient's clinical presentation of signs and symptoms. Though different in medical paradigm and clinical approach with Conventional medical doctors, Integrative Medicine doctors aims to get to the root causes of the disease and is treating the "whole person" not just the symptoms. On the other hand, while the therapeutic measures can sometimes permit the use of non-prescription drugs or RX drug therapy in some cases, alongside, with the combination of Alternative therapies; still, the clinical orientation is directed towards, either to the reduction or elimination of the drug therapy completely, as a gradual process over the course of time. As mentioned above, all the treatment strategies involved should be in accordance with the latest clinical evidence and reputable Scientific studies accepted by the majority of scientists and clinicians.
Integrative Medicine in practice, combines the scientifically substantiated aspects of Western Medicine with Alternative modalities that have undergone clinical trials and has been proven effective in bringing about healing and sustained optimal wellness.

innate healing response.

therapies uncritically.

paradigms.
